TEAM EFFORT TO RESCUE CAT AND KITTENS

Over the weekend (12-13 Aug 2017)South Birmingham branch were asked to assist with some kittens that had taken up residence in a skip on a building site.

A couple of our volunteers attended and soon realised it was no easy task to get the kittens to safety.

The skip was a container-type skip, full of building rubble and the kittens are buried deep inside.

After a massive team effort which lasted all day, mum cat and 2 kittens have been successfully rescued and are now safe with one of our volunteers.

Our thanks go to West Midlands Fire Service and Solihull Fire Station who came along with thermal imaging and snake-eye cameras, Crownage Limited who allowed the skip to be emptied on site and provided valuable labour to assist, Richard and Chris from JC Decorators who reported this situation to us and were amazing all day and of course, 608 Vet Practice LLP in Solihull who were on standby to assess mum and babies after their ordeal.

We couldn't have done any of this without them!
